Chuck told Blair and as much as she hated to admit it, she knew that they couldn't be that image At least not right now.
"We don't have to do those things. We can do the things we like."
She says revealing a hint of hope in her voice, although she's pretty sure that he wont agree.
"What we like is this."
"The game."
She mummurs, for the second time that night hating the word game. He kneels down by her side and looks up at her, his eyes dark and showing emotions she can't read.
"Doubted, Im not sure how long we'd last. It'd just be a matter of time before we messed it all up."
"Look, I'd rather wait. Maybe in the future-
"I suppose it could be some excruiciating pleasure."
Chuck leans in close and kisses her softly, causing a tear to make her dark eyes shine. Their entwined hands grasp each other as he pulls her up and presses her to his body. Her arms go up to wrap around his neck as his wrap around her slender waist.
His fingers trail up the curve of her back, sending a shiver down her spine. He starts unzipping her dress as their lips pull away and she looks at him in surprise. He shows her a small smirk and places a kiss on her forehead.
"I didn-
He stops her with a finger on her lips and he leads her to her bed. They kiss as she lays down and he lays down on top of her, resting his weight on his elbows on each side of her. She unbuttons his shirt and the rest of his clothes slowly, the same way he does with her.
Their hands clasp together tightly above her head as Chuck enters her slowly, filling her body with his own at the same time filling her hear with his escence. They muffle each others moans with a long kiss. Their hips rise and rotate in an equal motion, creating a pleasure that stings everywhere. Chuck lets go of one of Blairs hands and rests it at the curve of her waist. He kneads at her waist as he bites the skin of her neck and collar bone, whispering names of endearment as she caresses his back and murmmurs his name like a prayer. A tear falls down Blairs face and Chuck wipes it away, slowing down his movements as if to comfort her in every way.
"No crying Waldorf, you'll get me out of the mood." Blair chuckles.
"Like you could ever resist me Bass."
Chuck shows her his famous smirk before making their lips slant together and tasting her mouth with his tounge. Groaning when her tounge tastes his from the bottom.
Their love making is painfully slow, both of them holding back from the point of high pleasure to treasure this moment of giving in. At last the movements become faster, the breathes more shallow and the kisses are harsher. Chuck and Blair make eye contact, holding it as their bodies reach the high note of pleasure. Their voices rise and they call out each others name, loud enough for all of Manhattan to hear.
Blair isn't sure when but they end up cuddled under her bedsheets, their bodies covered in a pleasant sheen of sweat. Blairs head rests under Chucks chin, his heartbeat ringing in her ears. She uses the hand on his back to trail her fingers up and down his spine in a soothing motion and he slides a hand into her thick dark hair, masaging her scalp. After a while both Blair and Chuck are falling into the spell of sleep but neither wants to give in.
Chuck sighs.
"Sleep Waldorf."
Blair kisses the skin atop his heart when he kisses her forehead.
"Only if you join me Bass."
With those words Chuck and Blair let the soft touches lull them into a deep, and surprisingly peaceful sleep.
Chuck wakes up first. He takes time to watch the woman in his arms. He looks at the way her dark hair pools around her head like a halo and how sleep seems to bring even more grace upon her face. Tears spring into his dark eyes when he leaves her side and begins dressing, but he refuses to cry. He is Chuck Bass after all and Chuck Bass doesn't cry even if leaving Blair's side shatters his heart.
Blair wakes later on. She yawns and turns to her side, expecting to see Chuck by her side and frowing when the other side of her bed is empty. She whispers his name and gets no responce. Her eyes close in an attempt to put away the dissapointment. When they reopen she notices a small peice of paper in her pillow. She picks it up and reads.
.........<3 See you at the next game, baby
-Your only Chuck Bass.
She smiles bittersweetly at his note. Last night had been a pause in their game, a pleasurable recession in the present. Perhaps one day they'd give up this neverending game and be together. But right now she'd settle for his annoying grin and their ideas of destruction clashing together into gran plans. She'll settle for dreams in which they tell each other those three little words.
She'll settle in with the present, because the game is what they have......for now.

Comments
your fic is really great, I've been sort of depressed (I know, pathetic) since I saw that episode and I can't understand why there aren't more people that are writing fic to change the end of that episode
